A great deal of these episodes are so much better with the muic videos in-between. Oh yeah, and if you can find the version of this special with all the music videos intact, do it. Still, it's nice to see that asswipes get a Christmas swim in! A lot of what Charlie shows Butt-Head and his "murder attempt" is actually kinda justified all things considered. Unlike what Jorgen Von Strangle did to Timmy who didn't really cause any true misery to anyone, Beavis and Butt-Head have ACTUALLY caused a lot of pain and misery in their lives! They're the reason Principla McVicker is a nervous bald wreck (seriously watch the episode where they get him committed, it's a horror show!) he's why Daria has a cynical worldview and as expected he's why Beavis is such a mess. For a change of pace the guardian angel actually has to KILL Beavis and Butt-Head under God's orders and the prayers of, well, damn near everyone in Highland! Unfortunately for him he's really bad at murder and our favrotie duo are too stupid to die! Think Hei-Hei from Moana but actually funny! We have Charlie Angel here actually show Butthead what life would be like if he was never born, and that includes Beavis becoming a total wussy buttmunch! "It's a Miserable Life" manages to do what The Fairly Oddparents tried and failed to do so much better as an inverse of the Wonderful Life plot. The second segment is actually funnier all things considered. You thought Pegleg Pete was intimidating as the ghost of Christmas future? Imagine him as a really pissed off drill instructor fully capable of kicking your ass to hell! I can only imagine how the recording of this episode went down, and many of them considering it's mostly Mike Judge talking to himself. Buzzcut as the ghosts just works out perfectly. "Here Lies _, he/she never scored" is one of the few things deserving of a meme for good reason! Beyond that this is one of the funniest takes on A Christmas Carol I've ever seen! Imagine the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet-to-Come (huhuhuh, come) trying to get through someone as thick-headed as Beavis! You're just trying to relax after a long day of kicking your old principals ass at your sweet job as boss, and all you wanna do is watch some porn! But these fartknocking ghosts won't leave you alone! I wonder though, since the ghosts came from the porn, did they get it on?Įither way this special is a testament to Mike Judge and his range, considering he plays most of the characters anyways having Mr. "Huh-Huh Humbug" is probably the segment most people remember best from this special thanks to the above scene becoming an epic meme. This was a show that knew how to mercilessly abuse one of the characters for no good reason with Beavis, and watching him dressed as a reindeer quite literally getting his ass whipped is hilarious! You should really give this a watch by itself for some of these letters! And if you have a problem with this? Need I remind you the kid once got a fatal nosebleed and far worse than a whipping! Sometimes it's just fun to watch an idiot get beat up. But before I start I gotta say the Inebtween segments "letters from Santa Butt-Head" are pretty damn funny. In the interest of keeping things simple I'll knock both parts of their Christmas special out at once. They got quite a few promotional appearances, a fight on Celebrity Death Match, and even their own movie long before The Simpsons would! Yep, these morons were the sovereign kings of the 1990s for the teenage brainwastes of the era! And their holiday specials remain quite the treasures for the show as well' Yeah I probably could be reviewing the well known and beloved Christmas classics now, but what fun is that!? Some of the best things in life come from places you'd never expect, and Beavis and Butt-Head is a show LOADED with surprises! Being a precursor to South Park and the like at a time when adult cartoons were far and few, Beavis and Butt-Head were almost as popular as The Simpsons back in the early 90s.
